Fearless Predictions: We Have Already Seen The Player Dayan Viciedo Will Be

viciedoprediction

Spring training has begun, which means that, by god, baseball season is almost here. As Chicago baseball fans, the truth is we really don’t have a whole lot to look forward to this year, as both the Cubs and White Sox should struggle to even finish .500. Still, it will be baseball, and we will be watching it. So instead of writing general team previews for the upcoming season, I’ll be writing a series of posts in which I make FEARLESS PREDICTIONS about what will happen during the upcoming season. Today we look at White Sox outfielder Dayan Viciedo.

What Exactly Have The Bulls Told Carlos Boozer?

NBA: Denver Nuggets at Chicago Bulls

So apparently I missed some pretty big news while half-assedly paying attention to the Bulls game against Brooklyn last night.

While flipping back-and-forth between the Bulls and the Olympics I must have missed a sideline report from TNT’s Craig Sager that dropped a few bombs on the viewing populace.

Atlantis Posts Win Totals For Cubs And White Sox

baseballbetting

Cubs pitchers and catchers reported to spring training today. That means baseball is almost here. Well, okay, so almost is a bit relative. Sure, players are showing up in Arizona and Florida, but the season doesn’t actually start for another month and a half.

But, still, it’s almost here.

And since the season is drawing nearer, Atlantis has gone ahead and posted its over/unders on each teams win total for the 2014 season.

jaycutlercaphit

Next year, as in every year, there will be debate about how good of a quarterback Jay Cutler is. Somebody somewhere — probably on ESPN — will ask whether or not Jay Cutler is “elite,” even though that word is nebulous when it comes to rating quarterbacks and doesn’t actually mean anything.

Let’s not forget that it’s a word that has been attached to Joe Flacco and Eli Manning too.

Now, while people will waste their time over that pointless debate, there is one aspect about Cutler in which there is no debate. His new deal with the Bears is “elite” enough to make sure that Cutler will have the largest cap hit of any player in the NFL next season.

Those Around Nikola Mirotic Think He’ll Be A Bull Next Season

nikolamirotic

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony will be the big prizes after the NBA season, but odds are neither will be the big acquisition the Bulls make during the offseason. Instead the biggest “free agent” the Bulls go after will likely be the one they got in a draft day trade back in 2011: Nikola Mirotic.

Yes, after three years of playing well in Europe for Real Madrid, there are signs that this summer could be the summer Mirotic finally crosses the Atlantic to give the NBA a try. Though his salary wouldn’t be the only cost to the Bulls.

Rahm Emanuel Wants The NFL Draft In Chicago For Some Reason

nfldraft

When the city of Chicago wanted the Olympics, I didn’t agree with it, but I understood it. It was a way to make Chicago the center of the world for a few weeks and show off the city.

When Chicago mentions that it wants the Super Bowl, I don’t think it should host it, nor do I think it has a snowball’s chance in hell of getting it, but I understand it.

When Rahm Emanuel mentions that he wants the NFL Draft in Chicago, I don’t get it.
