The Bulls Are Reportedly Trying To Trade Carlos Boozer

Throughout history mankind has made a habit of attempting to do the impossible. Many times, Man has failed, but there have been other times when, despite all the odds against him, Man has succeeded.

We learned how to fly. We not only sent people into space, but we put them on the moon. We deep fried a Twinkie.

And now, for our latest attempt to tell the laws of physics and nature to fuck off, the Bulls will attempt to trade Carlos Boozer.

A Man Rambles About The Bulls Season That Was

I was going to write this last night, but I felt it would be better to let my thoughts marinate overnight rather than just pulling the trigger. I was somewhat annoyed, after all, and I didn’t want to let any of that cloud my thoughts on the entire season.

The Bulls season ended last night, and while I’ll have a post up on the season later today, right now I was interested in getting your thoughts. We all know everything Bulls fans want the team to do this winter, but what if they can only do one thing?

What’s more important to you: getting Carmelo or amnestying Boozer? A healthy Derrick Rose, or Nikola Mirotic?

So if the Bulls were allowed to do only one thing this summer — hey, maybe Adam Silver will go mad with power after banning Donald Sterling — what would you do?

Report: Arizona Is Still Interested In Jeff Samardzija

Over a month ago I wrote about a report from Bruce Levine telling us how the Arizona Diamondbacks were interested in Jeff Samardzija after losing Patrick Corbin for the season. It was a move that made sense then, as Arizona basically put all its chips in the middle of the table this winter in the hopes of making a run in the NL West.

Then the season started and things haven’t gone according to plan for Arizona since. The Diamondbacks are currently the owners of the worst record in baseball at 8-20. But don’t go thinking a terrible start would cause them to change course, now. According to another report, Arizona is still just as interested in Samardzija, and may be even more desperate to get him now.

The Mailbag: Let’s Rank Some Chicago Teams

Welcome to The Chicago Homer’s Mailbag. It runs once a week unless it doesn’t, and in it I answer questions from readers via Twitter or email. The questions can be about any damn thing you please, and there likely isn’t a question I won’t answer. There may be questions I can’t answer, but I’ll try.

If you’d like to submit a question for the next edition of the mailbag it’s pretty simple. Either ask the question on Twitter using the #AskTCH hashtag — as long as you use the hashtag I will see it — or send an email to

And now that you know how to do it, let’s get to the this week’s questions.
