Minnesota Continues To Negotiate Trade For Kevin Love Through The Media


On Tuesday rumors surfaced that the Bulls were still very much involved in the Kevin Love Trade Sweepstakes. Though most of the focus on Love the last few weeks has been about the Timberwolves and Cavs discussing a deal that would involve Andrew Wiggins, the top pick in last month’s draft, it wasn’t that surprising to find out that the Bulls would still have interest in love.

After all, getting Love from the Wolves would not only improve the Bulls roster, but it’d keep the Cavs — a division rival that just got LeBron James back — from getting him as well. It’s just there was one small problem with the Tuesday’s rumor.

By most accounts, it was Minnesota leaking the Bulls supposed interest.

Conor Gillaspie Is No ‘Slap-Hitter’


On Monday evening, as happens so often during any edition of the Boers and Bernstein Show, there was a caller on the line with a stupid question. Well, actually, the question itself wasn’t entirely stupid, but the voice and delivery of the man asking it made it seem stupid.

The man wanted to know, with Paul Konerko retiring after this season, if the White Sox should move Conor Gillaspie to first base to allow Matt Davidson to take over at third. It was at this point that Dan Bernstein said something that caught my attention, because as often as I disagree with Bernstein on many different topics, he’s normally much smarter when it comes to baseball.

There’s No Reason For The Cubs To Trade For David Price


The trade deadline is 10 days away, which means that over the next 10 days we could see a number of Cubs and White Sox players on their way out of town. That’s just the position both teams are currently in, as slim playoff odds and rebuilds firmly plant both organizations as sellers this summer.

Though apparently not everybody agrees with the common sense logic of that equation.
