That’s the lineup for the White Sox tonight, and I’m genuinely interested in watching this game because of that lineup.

The Mailbag: Are The Bears Going To Suck?
Welcome to The Chicago Homer’s Mailbag. It runs once a week unless it doesn’t, and in it I answer questions from readers via Twitter or email. The questions can be about any damn thing you please, and there likely isn’t a question I won’t answer. There may be questions I can’t answer, but I’ll try.
If you’d like to submit a question for the next edition of the mailbag it’s pretty simple. Either ask the question on Twitter using the #AskTCH hashtag — as long as you use the hashtag I will see it — or send an email to TCHMailbag@gmail.com.
POTD: Nice Catch
What was more impressive than this man’s catch — which Dayan Viciedo couldn’t make — was the smooth transition he had with his wife afterward. He discreetly handed her the ball while she handed him another ball and he then threw that one back. While I think the throwing the ball back thing is stupid, I respect the hustle.

There’s No Reason To Play Dayan Viciedo Every Day
The MLB Trade Deadline came and went without the White Sox making a deal, which means that Dayan Viciedo will likely spend the rest of the 2014 season in Chicago. But just because he’s still here doesn’t mean he needs to keep getting regular playing time.
To be blunt, there’s simply no reason to keep playing him now that you aren’t showcasing him for a possible trade. The White Sox have a better option on their bench names Moises Sierra.
A Possible Home For Adam Dunn
Thursday’s trade deadline came and went without the White Sox making a move. All your favorite White Sox trade bait is still here, from Gordon Beckham and Dayan Viciedo, to John Danks and Adam Dunn. But just because they’re still here now doesn’t mean they’ll still be here come September.
There is still the waiver deadline, in which teams can pass players through waivers, and if they go unclaimed, teams are then free to try and negotiate a trade. While I don’t expect any major changes to the Sox roster over the next month, I do think there’s a relatively decent chance that Adam Dunn could find a new home.
And those chances may have increased Thursday night.

The Mariners Are Still Interested In Dayan Viciedo
Before the season started there were rumors that the Mariners were interested in Dayan Viciedo, and while those rumors never developed into anything aside from preliminary discussions, that interest has not died.
I guess Seattle kept watching Viciedo through April and then stopped on May 1.
POTD: The Agony Of Defeat
This man did not enjoy Dayan Viciedo’s three-run homer in the ninth inning yesterday as much as I did.
